Cinderella: Not Your Typical Fairy Tale
JUMP!'s modernized version of the story was conceived by JUMP! member Judy Estey. Her retelling is centered on a big-city dance academy where Cinderella is one of the academy's janitors. The setting allows for lots of terrific dancing and features a wide variaty of music, from hip hop to Gershwin. JUMP! premiered Cinderella to enthusiastic audiences in the Spring of 2008 at Providence's historic Columbus Theatre.
